2018-19 7th Grade Blog

In math we built roller coasters with some IBM engineers. We had limited supplies and it was a challenge but it was fun! In Language we listened to 3 different versions of the song: Sound of silence. We had to compare the mood and tone of each one.   In Health we did a team building activity. We were put in groups and then had to line up based on  certain characteristics we have. In Basketball we had an end of the season party. We watched the movie, Hoosiers, and ate pizza and pasta.

       Here are some pictures of thee activity we did in health on Wednesday. We had to choose from one of two things to decide what we were. For instance: Are you a Jaguar or Volkswagen. Then we discussed with others to see if they feel the same way. In Science we are growing lettuce, so here is a picture on how that is going, hopefully we can be eating it soon! We also have a new unit in science called "evolution" here is a picture of one of the unit cover page's in our notebooks. With all of our snow days, we are looking forward to being in school and getting more pictures! Thanks for reading!!

In Language Arts class we had to go around the room t practice our Hyperboles, and Idioms. This is preparing us for the poetry test on Wednesday, the 13. I hope you were paying attention! The ZM Cougars girl basketball team is getting the post game talk from their coach on how they did that game. Here is another picture of the 7th grade going around the room in language preparing for the test on Wednesday the 13th. 7th and 8th grade choir went to Kasson for a competition. The choir did great. Here is a picture of the health poster the seventh grade is doing. In health class, the 7th grade is doing a poster presentation about the 7 areas of health. Britta, and Sommer are doing a presentation, and it has to be 1 minute long to get the full credit. the 7th grade girls basketball team played the Goodhue Wildcats last week. The Cougars are playing the Pine Island and the end score was a lot to a little. Cougars Won! The Cougars are playing the Panther...
