Week of September 17th

On September 18th, in language arts we started writing our Non-Fiction Magazines. We had to write about positivity and negativity. We did this on Google Sites so we learned about creating our own websites with pictures!

On September 17th, in Mrs.Bradley's power hour each student got to pick out a book. Mrs. Bradley got donations so that they could get books.

On September 17th Z-M cougars 7th grade girls volleyball team beat Pine Island by 3-5 sets.

On September 18th, in Math we went up to the board to solve equations on adding/subtracting and multiplying/dividing integers -using the method that we were taught in class.

On September 20th, in Lego robotics they began to build their robots. It should be a fun season!

On September 17th, we glued in our science macro-molecules fold-ables. In them we had to talk about the 4 different macro-molecules and what they do. This is a good way to help us remember all of the different parts!

In history we just finished World War 1. We did a simulation that was about WW1. We got to place troops, start battles, etc. It was a fun time between the allies and central powers.  This is the beloved turkey that hit Mr. Boraas Window On Wednesday. In health this week we worked on our Ichabod project and got to present. In the Ichabod project we got to pick if we wanted to make a brochure, a cartoon, a video, song, or a poster.  The whole point of the project is for us students to make a project showing one of our fake peers, Ichabod, all of the dangers and bad things that come and can happen with smoking. In language arts we finished up our final creativity assignment. We all wrote our own books and got to class publish them so that our classmates could read them. These were the March Students Of The Month. From left to right: Sommer Post, Kaleb Lochner, and Avery Brown. This week for language arts we played Grudge Ball. Grudge Ball is game where we are put into teams and each team got 10 x's. Mrs. Bradley would ask a qustion and we had to answer it on the white board. If we got it right we got to erase another teams x or shoot a ball into a basket, and if you made the basket you got to erase two x's. The winner of the game is whoever has the most x's at the end, that team win PBIS points. For history, we are reenacting World War 1.  Each person was given a country. We are not following what our country actually did in World War 1 we making our own stratigies. For art we are making 3-D perspective drawings of landscapes/towns.
