Our April 7th and 8th Grade students of the month. From Left to Right. 8th grader Zane Angerman. 7th Grader Hunter Streit. 8th Grader Makayla Rodriguez. 7th Grader Jordan Schliep. Keep up the great work!!!!!!!!

In Language Arts, we played a game called Goose-chase to review our vocab words. We had to find examples of our vocab words and send in a picture or video of that example with the definition.

Outside of the school, there was a "Mock-crash". It was for the high schoolers to tell them not to drink and drive. There was a local girl who got in a crash because someone hit her who was intoxicated. This is her car.

In science, we watched an episode of OUR PLANET. This episode had to do with how climate change was affecting animals who live on icecaps and around them.

On Saturday the boys' baseball team took part in a tournament. They got 1st place! Great job!!!

In health, we watched a video about why it is not good to do drugs.

We also had a band and choir concert. We did great!

Week of March 4th

In Language arts we are doing a fun activity to help us with our vocabulary 11 words. In this game you had to write to correct word on the board, then you got to choose if you were going to shoot the ball, or mark off another teams point. It was a fun game. In choir they earned a free day by getting so many marbles in the container so they got to do what  ever they wanted in that class for the day. In band class we got new songs for our spring concert. They are called Grease, and Visions.    It was para appreciation week day this week, so on Monday they decorated the staff break room with streamers and balloons along with food. In health we are finishing up our Self-Esteem unit. As you can see we are taking notes again.  Now it is before the test, and we are prepping for it.

Week of September 3rd

In Life Science, we made observations on specimens. We had to identify two things that we saw, such as color, shape, spots, etc. Some specimen examples are Sea Cucumber, Pig Embryo, Frog, and Starfish. Later we reviewed our observations with the class. In Language Arts, we did book speed dating! First, we split the desks into pods. We were then given a stack of books. Then we picked out a book and gave it a first impression rating based on its cover and title. We read a little bit of the books and then rated how much we liked them. In the end, we chose whether we liked the book, loved the book, or hated it. We checked out some of the books that we LOVED so we could read them outside of class! On Friday during Power Hour, we went outside. We go outside on Friday if none of our work is missing or late. During that hour, most of us played nine square. Others walked around and enjoyed the nice weather. It was fun! In History, we learne...

Week of May 6-10

In math we finished our tessellations. The picture above is a picture of our hallway that got filled with some new math filled decorations! In health this week we worked on our Ichabod project and got to present. In the Ichabod project we got to pick if we wanted to make a brochure, a cartoon, a video, song, or a poster.  The whole point of the project is for us students to make a project showing one of our fake peers, Ichabod, all of the dangers and bad things that come and can happen with smoking. In language arts we finished up our final creativity assignment. We all wrote our own books and got to class publish them so that our classmates could read them. In the picture we are peer editing to make sure there are no mistakes. Another thing we did in language was study for our reading terms test. In the picture above we are playing a very fun, interactive, learning game called Kahoot. On Wednesday the whole 7th grade class, including our teachers...
